Bio: Barslund is a Consumer Horticulture Educator in Genesee County that provides gardening education to the general public. He enjoys teaching on gardening topics such as flowers, container gardening, propagation, vegetables, and urban gardening. Master of Science in Agricultural and Life Science, Horticulture (MS) – Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Bachelor of Science in Horticulture (BS) – Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University
Bio: Vincent and his family practice environmentally responsible farming at their home, Windy Rock Farm and Nursery in Manchester, MI, and were chemical-free beekeepers for ten years. In 2016 they opened an on-farm retail specialty nursery offering primarily Michigan native flowering trees, flowering shrubs, and perennial wildflowers of benefit to pollinators. They have hosted numerous Michigan Master Gardener and Michigan Garden Club meetings, field trips, tours, and educational days at their farm and nursery. Vince has been an invited speaker on pollinators and the plants they need at many gardening and beekeeping related conferences, club meetings, and community educational events

Bio: The Wilkins are avid shade gardeners. Sandy and her husband, Jim, have designed and planted 3.5 acres east of Jackson, MI. Their garden was featured on the local television series, “Where we Live”, the American Hosta Society National Convention, International Conifer Society Tour, highlighted in the Michigan Gardener magazine, and has hosted many other events and garden tours annually.

George Papadelis is back by popular request. He will give us a sneak peek at the new annuals and perennials with “New and Fabulous Plants for Spring 2024.” He will show the audience some new “WOW” to add to gardens.Bio: George Papadelis is the owner of Telly”s Greenhouse in Troy.
